SYRIAN MIGRANTS TEMPORARY RELOCATION PROGRAM
The prolonged civil crisis in Syria has affected the livelihood of the Syrian people. 6.6 million Syrian refugees worldwide, of whom 5.6 million hosted in countries near Syria. The Syrians Migrants Temporary relocation Program is a manifestation of pledge made by Malaysia during the United Nations General assembly UNGA in 2015 which Malaysia have made its commitment to host anther 3000 Syrian refugees.
COVID 19 PANDEMIC
MAHAR actively supports communities in need and has implemented numerous initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic. These include donating clothes, distributing meals, providing Ramadan iftar packs, supplying cleaning kits and face shields, and offering aid to underprivileged families and refugee populations.
EHSAN FOOD FUND
In response to the Movement Control Order in 2020, the EHSAN FOOD FUND was established to aid individuals impacted during this period. Its primary goals include distributing meal packs and basic food baskets. MAHAR collaborates with local restaurants and shops, providing support to their businesses throughout the Movement Control Order. Since its initiation, the Ehsan Food Fund has successfully benefited over 60,000 individuals.
