Our story
Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) was formed on 6 of April 2016 aimed to promote humanitarian spirit beyond religions, ethnicity, geographical or political borders.
MAHAR in our broader purpose to aid and empower people who are facing humanitarian crisis, has been involved in aid and relief works locally and internationally
We have made out presence through humanitarian and charity projects in 15 countries around the world. Mahar have also participated in conferences, courses and meetings related to humanitarian issue globally.

In 2016, MAHAR was appointed by the Malaysian government to manage the Special Syrian Migrants Relocation Program (Program Penempatan Sementara Migran Syria). MAHAR has been involved since the early stages of formulating the program, collecting data on the refugees and organising the interview process. To date MAHAR still managing the refugees by ensuring their access to basic needs such as housing, food, health services, education, employment and legal documents.
MAHAR promotes youth development by instilling humanitarian and volunteerism spirit. Our partnership with the Malaysian Youth and Sports Ministry for MyCorps have spawned more than 350 professional humanitarian activist who have been deployed to 15 countries.
Apart from the responsibilities mentioned, MAHAR continues its commitment to serve the needy during the Covid 19 pandemic in Malaysia in serving more than 60,000 beneficiaries.
